The story you guys read the most this year was Reddit: the rise of trojan horse NFTs.
Given that many see Reddit's collection as the moment NFTs went mainstream, it's no surprise it ranks top of our readerboard™️.
Here's what we said at the time:
...Reddit launched its user-illustrated "Blockchain-Backed Collectible Avatars" back in July – with a distinct lack of NFT terminology or web3 marketing.
The limited-edition avatars have a lot in common with popular NFT collections: owners can use their avatars as their profile picture, get special benefits, plus a license to use their avatar off Reddit.
But don't you dare call them NFTs!..

Ok. Ok. Let's all calm down and get back to it. Our favorite story of 2022 was Nostalgia and NFTs: why we're being sucked in.
In this piece of original content, we shot the sh** on why so many web3 projects bring those nostalgic feels.
What we said:
