1. NFTs FLOWing to Instagram 

Well, if you wanted to flex your NFTs on Instragam your time is coming, move over dogs, men holding fish, and thirst traps....a new sheriff is in town, and its name is NFTease.

  • Instagram (IG) is expanding the ability for people creators, businesses, and collectors to share digital collectibles they create or own.

  • IG now supports Dapper wallet integration for FLOW NFTs, as well as Coinbase wallet for ETH NFTs.

  • There is a creators Instagram account that has introduced an NFTeachMe series to help users understand NFTs and related concepts.

  • This is a path towards mainstream NFT adoption.

2. Solana wallet provider compromised

This wasn't a hack of the Solana blockchain, however Slope mobile wallet was compromised.

  • Over $4 million in Solana (SOL) tokens were taken from >9,000 wallets.

  • Some Phantom wallets were compromised if they had a seed phrase that was created using Slope wallet.

  • Slope acknowledged they had a security flaw, but are waiting on an audit of what actually happened, and if they are at fault.

3. Magic Eden wants all of your Apes

Magic Eden, a Solana-centric NFT marketplace that is integrating ETH NFTs, has proposed building an ApeCoin marketplace, solely for Bored Ape NFTs.

  • If approved the marketplace could offer fees as low as 0.75% (OpenSea currently has 2.5%)

  • They will build the ApeCoin marketplace for free, with no upfront cost to the BAYC ecosystem/ApeCoin DAO.

  • Marketplace would feature ETH and $APE bidding.

  • A proposal will be submitted to ApeCoin DAO for approval in the next 3-4 weeks.

4. Gucci announce accepting $APE

Gucci also wants in on $APE:

  • Gucci is now accepting payment in $APE at some of its locations in the U.S via BitPay.

  • Previously Gucci had launched a Gucci NFT with 10KTF, which currently has a floor price of 0.9 ETH.

5. OpenSea purchases it's own ENS

Every man and his dog seemingly has a .eth address. OpenSea decided to purchase theirs, spending 99ETH ($163,000 USD) on opensea.eth

  • It was listed at 1,000 ETH and reduced to 99 ETH, then OpenSea pounced!

  • Looks like all those staff layoffs were worth it.

6. Moonbirds surprise holders with CC0 move

There was lots of drama surrounding Moonbirds this week, with Kevin Rose announcing Moonbirds were moving the CC0, making their colelction public domain.

  • CC0 means that all their NFTs – including those already owned by collectors – are now free to be used by anybody, for any purpose.
