InfiniMerge is an NFT game that warrants your attention
Former director of gaming at Facebook leading the charge

Estimated read time: 4 minutes
One of Decentra Daily's founders got caught slacking yesterday, which gave inspiration for this post. I saw out of the corner of my eye that he was playing a game....."market research" as he called it!
This was my introduction to InfiniMerge, an NFT based game made by InfiniGods.
This game is addicting....It's like a mixture of Settlers of Catan and Tetris, in my opinion.

InfiniMerge Gameplay
The InfiniGods Whitepaper, states that InfiniMerge is inspired by games like Triple Town and City Blocks it works through a merging mechanic, where you focus on building up bigger pieces, which accrue more points with each merge.
Each day there is a new map to play. These maps are inspired by different legends, characters, and mythos. The initial core mythologies are Greek, Norse, Chinese, and Egyptian.
The daily levels are sequenced out and tell stories of classical myths and create new stories, so not only is it fun, but also quasi-educational....so when you force you kids to sit down and earn for you, you won't have to feel so bad!
There are daily, weekly, and seasonal leaderboards. Where players can track their progress and earn rewards. Rewards include:
In-game followers
Right to mint tokens for future generations
$INFINIGOLD token (eventually)
We recommend hopping into the game to test out the mechanics! The whitepaper has details, but starting to play is the best way to get started.
Twitter and discord are also great resources for finding out mor information on the gameplay of InfiniMerge. Here is a gameplay tip from brydisanto.eth on Twitter:

How to get involved
The best way to get involved is to follow InifiGods on twitter and get in their discord. Then you will want to explore their website, medium article, and whitepaper.
If you are still interested and want to start playing after doing your own research (DYOR), then you can purchase an InfiniPass NFT, which give you access to InfinimMerge, which is in beta (started on the 27th of June, 2022).
There are two ways you can purchase an InfiniPass NFT:
Minting from their website for 0.05 ETH - there are >2000 Community Passes remaining for public sale at the time of writing.
Purchase from OpenSea on secondary market
There are two types of passes, the Community Pass and the Ultimate pass:

InfiniGods future releases
InfiniGods plans on releasing multiple games with InfiniMerge being the first in it's catalogue. Future releases are going to be:
Infini Towers - Tower defense game where you will explore islands and exploit their resources while defending yourself.
Infini Isles - Inspired by Defense of the Oasis, will focus on exploration and discover.
Infini Realms - strategy game inspired by city-building genres, such as Civilization, Clash of Clans, and Age of Empires.
If you have an InfiniPass you will receive access to all of these games.
InfiniGods Philosophy
Here is the philosophy of InfiniGods taken directly from their whitepaper:
Web3 not Web-me
Unlike most NFT / Web3-based games, InfiniGods games are built from the ground up around the idea of interoperability. Our NFTs are designed from the start to be accessible and useable as cross-game assets not only in our games but also in games developed outside of InfiniGods. Within each of our individual games, the scarcity of NFTs will shape gameplay by enabling unique actions and rewards. Have Athena on your side? Place her in the guard tower and watch your archers devastate their targets with inhuman precision. Can't place a building where you'd like? Maybe Loki's chaos powers can rearrange your city's layout just the right way (or maybe just the wrong one...)
Cross-Platform Uniqueness Simplified
The more "content" you place in an NFT the less cross-platform utility it actually has. Whether it's the game, graphics, or physics engine more detail complicates representation, which makes use across platforms increasingly difficult. InfiniGods characters and tokens are designed to be unique, scarce, and collectible while providing easily accessible, dynamic, and growing core attributes, which can be leveraged easily across a variety of games. We'll provide character SDKs to help other creators represent and leverage InfiniGods NFTs within their own game worlds.
Continuous Release of Strategic Gameplay
Rather than producing one mega-game that will be years in development, we’ll be releasing 3 smaller games within our first year, each centering on a different mode of strategic gameplay and each providing players with a variety of opportunities to play and earn with NFTs. Then, at the end of year one, we’ll release the first phase of our more comprehensive mega-game, Infinite Empires (working title).
InfiniGods team
The team for InfiniGods appears to be fully doxxed. One thing that caught our eye here was the experience of the co-founders:
Owen O'Donoghue was the former director of gaming at Facebook until 2022, where he led multiple teams across Mobile, Real Money & Cloud Gaming verticals. Responsible for 10 figure dollar revenue line annually for Facebook/Meta.
Damon Gura has worked in the world of gaming for the last 25 years. Having filed over 100 patents and founded DGN Games, turning it into a multi-million dollar business.
These are guys that know the gaming industry, and our venturing into Web3 now....it's exciting to see talent coming over!
We'll be watching them closely, and playing along!
Winners and Losers

The projects that have stood out to us the most in the past 24 hours, the good, and bad.
Winner (more-so potential winner): Munko by David Choe - Floor price up a little from mint price in the last 24 hours (0.2 ETH → 0.219 ETH)
David Choe finally gets on the NFT train! There have been 4,000/10,000 NFT minted so far, so this is a slow burn. The potential is there though, considering how influential David is in the traditional art world. David Choe is an odd duck, a genius artist who famously made $250 million from taking stock instead of payment for painting a mural in the Facebook offices pre-IPO. Described as an experiential project, Munko ticket holders will fill out a questionnaire and the answers given will determine the final end product holders receive.
Loser: Llamascape Land - Floor Price down 34% in the last 24 hours (0.303 ETH → 0.2 ETH)
Land plots in the “Gridcraft” metaverse, which appears to be a chip off the old Minecraft block, (but they’re quick to point out they’re in no way related, lol). Still minting but the mint price is 0.3 ETH and the floor is 0.2, so not a good sign of things to come!
