Tweet of the day

Yesterday evening was the Bored Ape Yacht Club's celebratory Twitter space for reaching 1 million Twitter followers.
We're not sure if this was a publicity stunt or not, but right around the time of the Twitter spaces, a BAYC was purchased for 777 ETH ($$1,478,000 USD).

Bored Ape #5383
Here's what we know:
User vis.eth purchased the Bored Ape #5383
Their wallet is full of BAYC NFTs, so they have been a believer for a while. They purchased $9M worth of Otherdeeds previously
This BAYC is a 6-trait Ape with a lumberjack shirt, army hat, gold fur, and a bored unshaven mouth. It is ranked #320 on rarity.tools
Here's what the buyer had to say to the Bored Ape Gazette
“I wanted to collect a golden monkey. 777eth is a suitable price. Yuga will be the first successful social verse.”
There are BAYC maxis, and then there is vis.eth, operating on another level.

Decentra Daily's Web3 Key Point3
Since its inception in April 2021, BAYC grew to 1 million Twitter followers and held celebratory 'spaces' with the founders. Over 3,500 people attended, the entirety of NFT believers left on Twitter.
Chainlink is turning on its tokenomics this year. 4+ years after launch, it is the leading oracle, which is used to provide tamper-proof inputs, outputs, and computations to support advanced smart contracts on any blockchain. It essentially allows blockchains to interact with external data feeds, payment systems, and much more.
Ethereum deposits and withdrawals will be paused by Coinbase during Ethereum's merge next month. Get your coins in order before the merge!

✅Fidelity has given Bitcoin a tick of approval✅
Fidelity published a document earlier in 2022 which included an infographic comparing Bitcoin with gold and fiat currency:

So is this Fidelity, one of the largest money managers in the world, telling us that Bitcoin is perhaps the strongest financial asset in the world? It just needs to keep doing what it's doing to solidify its track record.

We're drinking the Kool-Aid too. Fidelity will allow people to put their retirement savings in Bitcoin as well.
With $4.5 Trillion in assets, Fidelity knows what they are doing with their money, and we may ride along in their wake.....just try not to be their exit liquidity when profit-taking time comes for them....and it will come.

Today's Winners and Losers

The projects that have stood out to us the most in the past 24 hours, the good, and bad.
Winner: Genesis Box (by Doodles) - Floor price up 46% in the last 24 hours (0.16 ETH → 0.235 ETH)

Was the floor finally in? The Doodles team introduced their loot packs early in July, a box of wearables and accessories for Doodles 2. They’ve been trending down since release, but seem to hit resistance at 0.16 ETH. I’m sure they’ll pop once we get some more info about a Doodles 2 release. But when will that be?
Loser: 8liens NFT - Floor Price down 27% in the last 24 hours (0.125 ETH → 0.091 ETH)

These have been all the rage this week, seeing a lot of people and podcasters talking about this project. Going one step further on the free mint movement, they were free to mint and no royalties on secondary sales. Inspired by crypto punks in many ways other than the visual style, the developers kept 10% of the mint for themselves. So either they sold their holdings into the runup to 0.8 ETH, or they held and have an incentive to keep the price up. I’m sure someone smarter than me could follow the blockchain trail to find out.
