Memeland Raids

In the world of Memeland, Captainz are utility-enabled NFTs that give holders the ability to roam the high seas.

ā€“ Or in other words, stake their NFT and interact with the projectā€™s ecosystem, including receiving maps, which are weekly airdrops of varying rarity.

But what if you donā€™t like your airdropped maps? Well, do as a pirate would, and steal somebody elseā€™s!

ā€œRaidsā€ is a new, Wolf Game-esque dynamic that lets Captainz steal maps from other holders, and puts their own maps at risk of theft.

Raiding mechanics are chance-based. Joining a raid means a 40% chance of scooping a rare Map, but a 50% chance of losing your precious bounty to other Captainz.

Details:

  • Captainz need at least 1 ā€œSpecialā€ or ā€œExtraordinaryā€ map to raid.

  • Memeland is running a pilot season of raids for 1 week, with no prizes on offer.

Check out this thread for the full raid rules (we be rule-abiding pirates). šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø

Doodles 2, finally!

Doodlesā€™ Stoodio is a new central hub for the Doodlesverse ā€“ a place for Doodles holders to interact with the ecosystem, and a long-awaited portal for building Doodles 2 avatars.

From the Stoodio, Doodlesā€™ holders can customize their avatarā€™s traits, changing skin and hair, equipping Wearables, and giving them a name.

The updated Doodle v.2 is then minted to the blockchain.

Check out this extensive thread for instructions on how to use the new Stoodio, plus details of exclusive wearable content from Adidas and Pharrell.

ā€œEverything we ship will be connected to The Stoodioā€¦Itā€™ll serve as your portal to physical and digital experiences, collectibles, and access to exclusive brand and artist partnerships.ā€

Pudgy Workbench

Last project update for today: The Pudgy Workbench.

This clue-filled interactive animation contains ā€œhidden secretsā€ about whatā€™s next for one of web3ā€™s most-active projects.

While there doesnā€™t seem to be a whole lot of alpha hidden in the image, it is a fun way for the community to speculate on upcoming plans.

Click on the radio to tune into mysterious voices talking about the Penguins' ecosystem, or check the pin board for hints about ā€œThe Berg.ā€

ā€“ Oh, and thereā€™s an alarm clock counting down to ā€¦something.

TwelveFold owners get a nice present from Yuga šŸŽ

Remember TwelveFold ā€“ Yuga Labsā€™ first ā€œpure artā€ project?

With no community features, and being inscribed over on the Bitcoin blockchain, itā€™s easy to forget about these 300 generative artworks that were auctioned in early March.

The good news for TwelveFold holders is that Yuga hasnā€™t forgotten about its Bitcoin creations.

A few days ago, Yugaā€™s Chief Creative Officer, Figge, posted a thread announcing that TwelveFold owners are about to receive high-resolution, off-chain versions of their art.

ā€“ Considering the current inscribed images are a measly 1,000 Ɨ 1,000 pixels, holders must be breathing a sigh of relief.

After spending a handful of BTC on something thatā€™s barely big enough for desktop wallpaper, theyā€™ll now have access to 12,000 x 12,000 pixel, 144K resolution versions.

Hereā€™s a high-res version compared to the original in the top-left:

And, holders donā€™t need to worry about getting their new high res versions printed, because Yuga is doing it for them.

All TwelveFold holders will get a framed physical print of their artwork, made and delivered for free.

They're big prints ā€“ at 1.2m x 1.2m ā€“ and will be delivered via white glove delivery service. šŸ‘Œ

Yuga hasnā€™t said much about what, if anything, is next for TwelveFold or other art projects.

But, Figge did end his thread with an intriguing teaserā€¦ šŸ§©

Box Office ā€“ the NFT ticketing platform for small events

Sports Illustrated, the notorious magazine of swimsuit edition fame, made a savvy pivot into the ticketing industry a few years ago. šŸ‘™šŸŽŸļø

They launched SI Tickets, a ticket resale app and website in the same vein as SeatGeek or Ticketmaster.

Now, the platform is getting a web3 twist, with a ticketing solution that lets small venues and events create and manage NFT tickets.

Called "Box Office" and built with help from ConsenSys, the platform lets venues make dynamic, content-filled tickets on the Polygon sidechain.

ā€œOur blockchain technology transforms used barcodes into content that lets you engage, reward and stay connected to guests long after the eventā€

What you need to know:

  • The self-service platform makes it easy to create NFT tickets without blockchain know-how

  • Tickets can contain images, videos, and other digital collectibles

  • They can also be updated with highlights or personal messages during and after the event

  • Tickets can be for free or paid events

  • Tickets will show up in the SI Tickets app for seamless entry to venues

There are some great features here ā€“ especially for smaller venues and events where tickets could be personalized for each attendee.

For example, imagine rewarding attendees by updating their ticket stubs with a promo code for a future event ā€“ or uploading photos of them taken during the event.

ā€œWe're not here to compete against Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, or AXS. We're going after the self-service event market,ā€ SI Tickets CEO David Lane told Decrypt.
