Today we are doing something new, featuring one of our favourite artists. Why? well we want to get to know artists, founders, and collectors in web3. Everyone has a story, and insights to share. 

Without further ado, here is the first web3 artist featured in the Decentra Daily chronicles!

Jonathan Nash aka Offshoot3D

Jonathan Nash (@offshoot3D) is a 3D solo artist working in the web3 space. Take one look at his work, and you cannot deny the eye catching qualities they have. If you have been active on Twitter you may have seen some of his pieces. 

Either way, I suggest you go watch some of his videos. Or at the very least check out Life Of An NFT owned by Mondoir. 

Jonathan was kind enough to to lend us some time, and answer questions, so we (and you) could get to know him, and see what he is up to, here we go!

Q. Who were/are you in web2? And what got you into web3/NFTs?

I worked as a 3d generalist in advertising and games previous to getting into web3/NFTs. I was first introduced to NFT's by the guys at Makersplace in 2019 but didn't really jump in fully until the first Beeple drop, right as the bull run was really kicking off.

Q. What are you currently working on?

Currently working on a follow up to my recent open edition "PFP Factory" and expanding the world of the Nashtronauts into something bigger and better.

Q. What would your main piece of advice be for people looking to enter Web3/NFTs either as an artist, collector, or builder?

Do your research, immerse yourself in the culture. It take a while to figure out what is for real and what isn't and its easy to get burnt. Learn how to protect your wallet and never give out your seedphrase.

Q. What is one thing you couldn't live without in web3?

Ledger. (protect your assets)

Q. What is a necessity for you in your workspace? (comfy chair, music, etc.)

Dual monitors are a must for those times when you want to scroll Twitter on multiple monitors.

Q. What are your personal interests and hobbies outside of Web3/work?

I have became a dad in the last year or so, so my daughter has become my whole world and its great to spend my free time with her.

Q. What do you want to be remembered for?

Making art that makes people happy.
